Hello! Hugo and I are bike packers from New Zealand. We met in Christchurch in 2022, and have been adventuring in our stunning country together since.
We are going to be biking from Turkey to Morocco over 6 months, starting this March.
Emily
I'm Emily, I'm a Dutch Kiwi, and I'm 25. I have been working as a consulting process engineer in my homeland, New Zealand, for the last 4 years. I help processing plants to optimise their production and reduce their environmental impact.
I'm so excited to chill out, be young, have fun, and explore the world. I can't wait to see everything from my bike.
Hugo
I'm a former competitive track cyclist. I've represented New Zealand in six countries with the highlight being the London Six Day Event in 2019. After being diagnosed with external iliac artery endofibrosis in 2022 I gave up the racing dream, and have been working in wholesale selling snow sports equipment, cycling helmets and eyewear, and BBQ. I'm super excited to get back on the bike full-time. This time at a slower pace, with a bit more time to look around and smell the roses.
